Generally speaking, the solar junction box is composed of box cover, box body, wiring terminal, diode, connecting wire, and connector.
Functions of each part
It has strong anti-aging and UV resistance. Meet the use requirements of outdoor harsh environmental conditions; The self-locking function makes the connection more convenient and firm;
It must have a waterproof sealing design, scientific anti-electric shock insulation protection, and better safety performance; The wiring terminal shall be firmly installed and have good weldability with the bus.
Diodes are divided into bypass diodes and anti-recoil diodes. The main function of the diode is one-way conduction.
Bypass diode: mainly used to prevent the hot spot effect of solar panels.
Hot spot effect: when the solar panel is in use, some solar panels are blocked by foreign matters, which will be used as a load to consume the energy generated by other illuminated solar panels. The temperature of the shaded solar cell will continue to rise, resulting in heating, which is the hot spot effect. If there is foreign matter blocking the solar cell, causing the local solar cell to not work, the temperature of the local solar cell will continue to rise and heat, which will eventually lead to the burning out of the solar cell.
When the solar panel works normally, the bypass diode will not work, but when the hot spot effect is encountered, the bypass diode will automatically cross the string of solar cells and continue to work with other solar cell strings. The main function of the bypass diode we use now is to prevent the solar cell from burning out.
Anti recoil diode: the solar panel prevents the solar battery current from flowing back when there is no light.
Connectors and connecting wires: with good insulation performance, the male and female plugs have self-locking functions, which makes the electrical connection between solar panels more convenient and reliable.
