How to deal with EVA missing glue or not dissolved?
Photovoltaic modules often use EVA bonded tempered glass, solar cells, and backplates. EVA can isolate air, prevent water and moisture, effectively protect solar cells, and play a crucial role in photovoltaic modules.
The most common problem of EVA in the application of photovoltaic products is the lack of glue or insolubility, which is mainly caused by the following three reasons:
1. It is related to the material of EVA. Moisture and expiration of EVA material may cause EVA to lack adhesive or remain undissolved;
2. During the production process, the heating process design of the laminating machine is unreasonable, resulting in low laminating temperature and short laminating time;
3. The cross-linking degree experiment failed to test the correct process parameters of EVA and executed incorrect operation instructions.
EVA deficiency or insolubility can affect the integrity of the production process and product yield. If such problems are found, they need to be improved in a timely manner. The usual measures that can be taken include:
Firstly, at the production source, select qualified material suppliers with guaranteed raw materials and excellent quality inspection technology to prevent the occurrence of moisture or expired EVA raw materials;
Secondly, during the operation of the machine, strictly follow the job requirements and control important parameters such as laminating temperature and laminating time to avoid operational errors caused by incorrect instructions;
Thirdly, strictly follow the guidelines and specifications to conduct cross-linking degree experiments, and control the cross-linking degree within 85% -95%, and keep the experimental testing procedures in place;
Fourthly, for different EVA materials from different manufacturers, different process conditions should be adopted to adjust the parameters of lamination temperature and time, and to change the testing standards for crosslinking degree experiments.
How to prevent solder tape deviation (exposed white)?
During the welding process of photovoltaic cells, the issue of solder tape deviation cannot be ignored and is a problem that production personnel need to pay special attention to. What are the reasons that can cause photovoltaic ribbon offset (exposed white)?
① During welding, there is a deviation between the positioning of the interconnection strip and the welding printing line position of the solar cell;
② The temperature is too high, causing the welding strip to bend and resulting in bending of the solar cell after welding is completed;
③ During homework, the starting point of the interconnection bar is offset, and there may be skewing, bending in the middle, or misalignment at both ends during welding.
The following measures can be taken to prevent offset of photovoltaic ribbon:
Firstly, strictly adhere to operational standards and carry out routine operations according to specified requirements;
Secondly, carefully identify the selection of interconnectors and remember that interconnectors with abnormal deformation cannot be used;
Thirdly, during the welding process, the position of the solar cells on the bottom plate should be fixed to prevent displacement;
Fourthly, during the welding process, remember to straighten the welding strip to ensure that it is straight and completely covers the printing line of the solar cell, without causing white exposure.
Through the above measures, it is possible to effectively reduce the probability of EVA glue deficiency, insolubility, and photovoltaic ribbon offset. Not reworking the production process is a powerful guarantee and important support for improving production efficiency.
