Different solar street lamps have different solar panels. How should we calculate it? Let’s learn about it together.
Whether it is solar power generation system or solar power station, we need to calculate the capacity of solar panels more accurately. When calculating, we should take into account the impact of seasonal changes on the output of the photovoltaic system and carry out design calculations month by month.
For the case of constant load throughout the year, the calculation of solar panels should be based on the month with the lowest irradiation corresponding to the inclination.
In case of load change, the maximum solar panel capacity shall be calculated one by one on a monthly basis.
When calculating the capacity of solar panels, other influencing factors should also be fully considered, mainly including dust coverage, line loss, etc.
Firstly, according to the local meteorological and geographical conditions, determine the annual total radiation, daily radiation and peak sunshine hours on the square array of photovoltaic cells (the worst month should be considered);
Then calculate the number, power and daily working hours of the load, and determine the DC voltage of the system (i.e. the voltage of the battery) according to the load power;
Then calculate the capacity of solar panels according to the peak sunshine hours. Finally, determine the series and parallel connection of solar panels according to the capacity of solar panels, and determine the total power of solar panel array.
At the same time, according to the calculation results of battery capacity, the solar panel and battery consumption are matched and optimized.
Solar panel capacity is affected by many conditions, so the calculation should consider these external and internal factors to better serve the solar power generation system or solar power station.
