Shielding:important factor affecting roof photovoltaic power generation part 2

3. What about the mud belt?

The most common way to treat the mud belt is cleaning!

As the mud belt is formed after drying with mud water, it is often bonded to the glass surface, so it must be cleaned with a high-pressure water gun. It is best to wash it with water after soaking in rain for a period of time.

Never scratch the glass surface with hard objects, which will damage the coating on the glass surface!

However, there are many industrial and commercial roof power stations, which are often not conducive to the cleaning work because they are installed on the roof. Therefore, many enterprises often give up cleaning or reduce cleaning!

Moreover, roof cleaning is not only the cost of operation and maintenance but also the safety of high-altitude operations!

4. Mud water self drainage

Recently, a very creative self-cleaning product with accumulated water and ash on the surface of solar panels has emerged in the photovoltaic industry.

It is reported that the scheme not only makes the roof photovoltaic almost free from cleaning, but also completely bid farewell to the ponding and mud belt on the surface of solar panels, so as to significantly improve the income of power generation. The more serious the mud belt is, the more obvious the improvement is. Some cases show that the maximum return is more than 15%.

This sharp tool with mud water self drainage function uses the hydrophilic surface tension to produce a siphon phenomenon so that the mud water accumulated at the frame that cannot be discharged automatically crosses the frame and flows out of the solar module.

The test shows that the solar panel is equipped with a mud water self ejector:

The rain will make the power generation 3-5% higher than the reference array;

After several or continuous rains, the ash and mud belt at the original frame will be completely eliminated, and the power generation will be more than 10% higher than that of the reference array;

For the original mud belt with serious shielding, the power generation gain is more than 15%.
The investment payback period for installing a mud water self-extractor is only a few months!

This does not include the annual cleaning operation and maintenance costs that can be reduced, as well as the possible solar module damage and personnel management costs caused by cleaning.
