What are the types of solar inverters?
Centralized solar inverter
Centralized inverter is generally used in the system of large solar power station (> 10kW), and multiple solar strings are connected to the same centralized inverter. Its biggest feature is the high power and low cost of the system.
Series solar inverter
Series solar inverter is the most commonly used one on the market. Many large solar power plants use series solar inverters. The advantage is that it is not affected by solar panel differences and shading between strings, and reduces the optimal working point of solar panels.
Multi string solar inverter
Multi string solar inverter combines the advantages of centralized inverter and series solar inverter, and can be applied to thousands of watt solar power stations. The multi series solar inverter includes different individual power peak tracking and DC to DC converter. These DC are converted into AC through an ordinary DC to AC inverter and connected to the power grid. Different rated values of PV strings (such as different rated power, different number of solar panels per string, different manufacturers of solar panels, etc.), solar panels of different sizes or technologies, solar panel strings in different directions (such as East, South and West), different inclination angles or shading, can be connected to a common inverter, and each solar panel string works at their respective maximum power peak. At the same time, the length of DC cable is reduced to minimize the shading effect between solar panel strings and the loss caused by the difference between solar panel strings.
Solar inverter for each solar panel
The inverter connects each solar panel, and each solar panel has a separate maximum power peak tracking, which can make the cooperation between the solar panel and the inverter better. It is usually used in 50W to 400W solar power stations, and the total efficiency is lower than that of series inverter.
How to use solar inverter?
1. Connect and install the equipment in strict accordance with the requirements of the inverter operation and maintenance manual. During installation, carefully check whether the wire diameter meets the requirements; Whether all parts and terminals are loose during transportation; Check whether the insulation is good; Whether the grounding of the system meets the regulations.
2. The inverter shall be operated and used in strict accordance with the provisions of the operation and maintenance manual of the inverter. Especially: pay attention to whether the input voltage is normal before starting up; During operation, pay attention to whether the sequence of switching on and off is correct.
3. The inverter generally has automatic protection for open circuit, overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating and other items, so there is no need to stop manually in case of these phenomena; The protection point of automatic protection is generally set at the factory and does not need to be adjusted.
4. Generally, the operator shall not open the cabinet door, which shall be locked at ordinary times.
5. When the room temperature exceeds 30 ℃, heat dissipation and cooling measures shall be taken to prevent equipment failure and prolong the service life of the equipment.
How to maintenance solar inverter?
1. Regularly check whether the wiring of each part of the inverter is firm and loose, especially the fan, power module, input terminal, output terminal and grounding.
2. Once the alarm stops, it is not allowed to start the machine immediately. It shall be started after finding out the cause and repairing. The inspection shall be carried out in strict accordance with the steps specified in the inverter maintenance manual.
3. Operators must be specially trained to judge the causes of general faults and eliminate them, such as skillfully replacing fuses, components and damaged circuit boards.
4. In case of an accident that is difficult to eliminate or the cause of the accident is unclear, make a detailed record of the accident and timely notify the inverter manufacturer to solve it.
